I'm a Full Time Freelance Musician, Teacher, Performer & Composer. I've been playing Guitar & Singing for just over twenty three years, having started when I was around ten. During my teens I formed a band, released an E.P, did session work at Maida Vale Studios & achieved grade 8 in Electric Guitar at the age of sixteen.
In my early twenties I Studied Music as a Bachelors Degree at Goldsmiths University London covering a wide variety of subjects, Jazz theory, composition & Performance.
Post university, I started teaching Guitar while working on my own music in my spare time. In 2016 I Signed to independent record label Naim Records who's roster has included mercury prize nominated artist Sons of Kemet & Eska. I released two E.P's & an Album under the Alias, Harry Jay-Steele with my most successful single achieving over 2,708,439 million plays and counting.
During my career i've performed at major venues and festivals all over the UK & Europe including the Barbican, the Southbank Centre, Bestival, Maida Vale Studios, Glastonbury & many more.
After over a decade of living in London I've recently moved to Reading where I teach Guitar from my new home in the Katesgrove Area. There are currently scheduled plans for a music studio in the garden with the aimed for completion date of early spring 2024. I continue to write music and perform in and around the London area.
